I Havent Had This Kind of Chemistry with My Past Heroines, Says Tiger on War Co-actor Hrithik – News18

War, which released on October 2, focuses on its leading men Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff’s combat chemistry, sprinkling in a few intense one-liners between an epic face-off, a high-speed chase on a motorcycle and explosion sequences.

In War, Hrithik plays an Indian super-soldier, Kabir, who goes rogue. While Tiger essays the role of his protege, Khalid, who is asked to kill Kabir. With this film, makers undoubtedly show off two of Bollywood’s most outrageous action stars into a standalone movie packed with biggest spectacles. In fact, it would not be an overstatement to say that a large part of the credit of the film’s massive success goes to the duo’s alluring chemistry.

“The kind of feedback I’m getting from the people, I feel I haven’t had this kind of chemistry with my past heroines also. And, I still can’t believe that I got to do my biggest film with my biggest hero. I couldn’t ask for more,” Tiger said on sharing the screen space with Hrithik.

To this, Hrithik added, “Today, Tiger is my hero. And, I think I have found my onscreen partner as well as my dance partner in him.”

Tiger, best known for the Baaghi franchise, is now being branded as a true blue action hero, a tag he wears proudly as a badge of honour.

He said, “The character of Khalid was a little uncomfortable for me and I tried to portray it very differently. But as far as action is concerned, I enjoy this genre very much. And I feel it has given a sense of identity to me. Even my inspirations have been all the biggest action stars in the world– from Jackie Chan to Hrithik Roshan. I aspire to do things like them.

“There’s so much competition in this industry and my peers are doing such amazing work, so how does one stand out? Therefore, I want to create an identity for myself and if people identify me as an action hero then I think it’s more than enough for me.”

“Overdue Hug From Sheikh Hasina Ji”: Priyanka Gandhi Vadra Meets Bangladesh PM – NDTV News

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra shared a Twitter post along with a Photo with Sheikh Hasina

Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra today said she received a hug that was “overdue” from Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina whom she met today in New Delhi.

“An overdue hug from Sheikh Hasina Ji whom I have been waiting to meet again for a long time. Her strength in overcoming deep personal loss and hardship and fighting for what she believed in with bravery and perseverance is, and always will be a great inspiration for me,” Priyanka Gandhi tweeted.

The Congress leader also posted a photo of her hugging Ms Hasina with Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh standing beside them.

The Bangladesh Prime Minister today met several Congress leaders including Sonia Gandhi and Anand Sharma.

During the half-hour meeting, the leaders discussed bilateral ties between India and Bangladesh, reported news agency ANI.

Ms Hasina is the longest-serving Prime Minister of Bangladesh and returned to power in 2009, for a second term. The Congress-led UPA government was in power then. Manmohan Singh had visited Bangladesh as Prime Minister in 2011.

The Bangladesh PM is on a 4-day official visit to India and held a series of bilateral talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier in the week. The talks revolved around trade, connectivity and people-to-people ties.

Prime Minister Hasina also attended the India-Bangladesh Business Forum, held on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum, where she pitched her country as a fast-growing economy and an attractive business destination.

Imran Khan’s Request Ignored as Thousands From PoK March Towards LoC to Protest Article 370 Move – News18

Islamabad: A large number of people from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) are marching towards the Line of Control (LoC) on Sunday to protest India’s move to scrap the special status of Jammu and Kashmir.

Prime Minister Imran Khan on Saturday warned the protesters not to cross the LoC, saying anyone crossing the LoC to provide humanitarian aid or support for Kashmiris will “play into the hands of the Indian narrative.”

Tension between India and Pakistan escalated after New Delhi revoked Jammu and Kashmir’s special status on August 5. Pakistan has downgraded diplomatic ties with New Delhi and expelled the Indian High Commissioner.

Pakistan has been trying to internationalise the Kashmir issue but India has asserted that the abrogation of Article 370 was its “internal matter”. New Delhi has also asked Islamabad to accept the reality and stop its anti-India rhetoric.

The marchers, mostly youngsters, reached from Muzaffarabad, the capital of the PoK, to Garhi Dupatta on Saturday where they stayed for overnight. They are moving on the Muzaffarabad-Srinagar Highway.

The protest march has been organised by Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF). A local JKLF leader Rafiq Dar told the media that UN Military Observers Group for India and Pakistan had also contacted them.

He said the UN was urged to persuade India and Pakistan to not use force against peaceful protestors. The protesters have announced to cross the LoC. They are expected to reach Chakothi where they will be stopped by the authorities, sources said.

Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi urged US Senator Chris Van Hollen to visit areas on the two sides of the LoC to see the ground situation.

Hollen, along with US Charge d’ Affaires Ambassador Paul Jones, travelled to Multan on Saturday afternoon to meet with Qureshi, the Foreign Office said in statement issued after midnight.

Qureshi appreciated Senator’s leadership role in proposing an amendment to the Senate Department of State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs Appropriations Bill, 2020 that explicitly expresses concern about the “humanitarian crisis in Kashmir.”

New Delhi: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, who will be travelling to France on October 7 on a three-day visit, primarily to receive the first Rafale fighter jet, will perform ‘Shastra Pooja’ (worship of weapons) in Paris.

According to a report on news agency ANI, the defence minister will perform the Pooja on Dussehra (October 8), the Hindu festival celebrating the end of Navratri every year.

Even though the Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will be receiving the first Rafale fighter jet in France, the aircraft will come to India only in May next year.

“The first four of 36 Rafale jets will come to India by May next year and the aircraft will significantly enhance the IAF’s combat prowess,” Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria said on Friday.

In his first press conference after taking charge of the top post on September 30, Bhadauria said the acquisition of the Rafale aircraft and the S-400 missile systems will give major boost to IAF’s operational capability.

India had signed an inter-governmental agreement with France in September 2016 for procurement of 36 Rafale fighter jets at a cost of around Rs 58,000 crore. The aircraft is capable of carrying a range of potent weapons and missiles.

Dot & Key Vitamin C Concentrate Glow Reviving Serum Review

The serum comes in yellow plastic bottle with dropper. I love serums with droppers as you can control the amount you dispense each time. The serum is clear and quite thin in consistency. It smells nice and mild.

The serum has a water like formula that absorbs into the skin immediately leaving no sticks residue behind. I have used it continuously for two months and loved the brightening effect it leaves. Vitamin C is derived from kakadu plum with 12% concentration.

I used it everyday in the morning. Vitamin C is great for people who want brighter & glowing complexion. With regular use it also fades marks and blemishes. Vitamin C is also great for reducing lines and wrinkles. Dot & Key Vitamin C Concentrate has hyaluronic acid as well which is one of the most popular humectants and retains moisture in the skin.

My skin is quite dry and prone to dullness, Dot & Key Vitamin C Concentrate has kept it looking glowing and smooth. I had a few acne marks left on the sides of my cheeks and they have faded to a great extent. The key is to use it regularly without fail. This one bottle lasted me 2 months.

This is a vegan formula and free from parabens, sulphates, phthalates and other skin nasties.

Dot & Key Vitamin C Concentrate is priced at Rs 975, available online HERE

bareMinerals Bounce & Blur Collection

[productsamples/affiliate] Ever since bareMinerals dropped their main sell as pots of dust, they’ve gone from strength to strength. This collection is gorgeous – innovative in colour and texture and actually does fulfil the ‘blur’ brief with eye shades that look diffused from the moment you put them on, which I don’t think I’ve seen before.

bareMinerals Bounce & Blur Collection

There are two palettes – Dawn (front) and Dusk (back). They don’t look too far apart, shade wise, in the pan, but Dawn is softer in colour selection than Dusk and they swatch completely differently.

bareMinerals Bounce & Blur Collection

You’ll see in the swatches what I mean by a ‘diffused’ look – a kind of soft and smoky finish that I was surprised that they achieved. I think Dawn does it best. The first palette is Dawn and colours are (from bottom to top) : Starry Sky (iridescent twinkly), Hazy Taupe (twinkly), Misty Morning (twinkly), Pink Cloud (matte sheen) and Stormy Sky (sort of matte-metallic). Dusk starts with Purple Twilight (matte sheen), Harvest Moon (matte sheen), Crimson Sunset (metallic), Sepia Sky (metallic) and Evening Star (metallic).

bareMinerals Bounce & Blur Collection

This is Dawn – you can see the shades look slightly blurry which I absolutely love.

bareMinerals Bounce & Blur Collection

The blur effect isn’t quite as apparent in Dusk but there are some strong shades in the mix for deep toned lids.

bareMinerals Bounce & Blur Collection

So, with the eyes, we’ve taken care of the ‘blur’ part of this collection. The ‘bounce’ part comes with four blush shades in a bouncy formula (which means that if you poke it, it feels soft and gel-like rather than hard and powder-like). The down side to this is that they feel a little oily which isn’t a problem personally because it makes the diffusion fantastic, but may not suit some. At a stretch, you might say that there is a blur effect, but I think it’s more that despite the intense looking colours, they go on as a fine wash of colour. I’m wearing Blurred Buff at the moment and it’s warmed up my tone without looking weird – it really looks quite natural.

bareMinerals Bounce & Blur Collection

I thought I was more excited about the palettes, but as I’ve been writing this and re-swatching as I go along, I think the blush has taken the edge. The first one is Coral Cloud, next is Pink Sky, then Mauve Sunrise followed by Blurred Buff. They look sparkly in the pot but I can’t really pick it up once it’s on the skin.

bareMinerals Bounce & Blur Collection

In the swatch bottom to top, it’s Coral Cloud, Pink Sky, Mauve Sunrise and Blurred Buff. I’m linking you to Escentual who have this collection cheaper than elsewhere – the palettes are £22.10 (instead of £26) HERE and the blushes are £19.55 (instead of £23) HERE.  Non affiliate is HERE.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month & Estee Lauder Companies

Sometimes, it’s far more about what goes on behind the scenes than the things that you can readily see. I know that many beauty lovers have come to feel cynical about BCA month and the number of brands that jump on the bandwagon as a marketing exercise. This isn’t something that can be levelled at ELC who are more pro-active than most when it comes to putting actions beside their words. Commissioning a survey (of 2017 UK women aged 18+ representative for age, social grade and region) to discover new facts about breast cancer, their key findings are that

*One in five women have never checked their breasts for signs of cancer;

*Over a third don’t know what to look for when checking their breasts;

*One in seven have never seen or been shown how to check their breasts for signs of cancer.

The very clear implication of these findings (more coming) is that despite the fact that it feels as though all women are educated on breast cancer, they’re not. A huge tranch has somehow been missed which is beyond troubling as the sooner breast cancer is identified, the better the outcome. Some other findings to consider are:

*One in seven women under 40 have never seen or been shown how to check their breasts;

*Women are more likely to have been to the dentist in the past six months than checked themselves for signs of cancer;

*14% of women say they have never checked because they’re scared to do so.

It’s kind of shocking, isn’t it? But, knowledge is everything, so on the back of the survey findings, ELC UK & Ireland are distributing over 650,000 self-check leaflets on over 1,750 beauty counters (and on-line stores) across the country. Of course, all the ELC brands have their special products that donate money to BCA charities (in fact ELC, as a whole, has contributed $79 million in total over the years to support research, education and medical services, with the UK & Ireland funding nearly $13 million of research grants) but the products are the front facing aspect of the work behind closed doors. The Estee Lauder Companies UK & Ireland hashtag for this campaign is #itstimetoendbreastcancer which indeed it is. If you put knowledge in women’s hands, you’re arming them with potentially life saving material – Estee Lauder Companies sought out what they didn’t know and then did something concrete about it.

I’m at an Estee Lauder event today to discover even more about the campaign – if there is additional information, I’ll let you know. In the meantime, maybe this is the month you bring the topic up with friends and family.  The product page is HERE.

Small Talk: Petitfee’s Chamomile & Agave Hydrogel Face Masks

<!–

–>

There are so many different kinds of masks out there formulated to suit different skin types and provide different benefits. Previously for Small Talk, we’ve reviewed Village 11 Factory’s 2-Step Sheet Masks and Dr. Jart’s Dermask Shaking Rubber Mask. This time around, we’re trying out Petitfee’s Chamomile & Agave Hydrogel Face Masks!

The Agave version is cooling while the Chamomile version brightens skin. Read on to see who’s on Team Agave and who’s on Team Chamomile.

Dianne: Hey Maureen, I saw that you tried Petitfee’s Chamomile & Agave eye masks! I’ve been meaning to try out the hydrogel sheet mask versions. Have you tried those ones yet?

Maureen: I tried the eye masks and they were great! Can’t wait to try the face masks 😍

Zoe: I love hydrogel masks, and my face is like SUPER DRYYYYYY right now 😭

Romy: I’m already obsessed with sheet masks but hydrogel masks are next level! And the colors of the Petitfee Hydrogel Face Masks look so cute!

Dianne: Yes!!! I tried hydrogel facial masks a LONG time ago and tbh I don’t really remember what they feel like!

Zoe: I only remember that it’s hard to make them stay on lol.

Dianne: Let’s get #sheetfaced 😂

Zoe: How was the fit?

Dianne: It’s crazy! It fits like a second skin lmaooo

Romy: These masks fit perfectly for me as well! I applied the top one first before putting on the bottom one, and I was surprised that it didn’t fall off my face like other hydrogel masks I’ve tried before.

Zoe: Lol how did it fit your face that perfectly? Mine was loose.

Maureen: Mine also hugs perfectly.

Romy: Haha maybe your face is too small for the mask?

Dianne: :O This was the first time a mask fit so perfectly for me! Usually, it falls off to the side or down my chin, or it goes up to my hair!

Maureen: The chin area is a bit small for me, but I have a long chin.

Zoe: Oh my god, I was actually hoping it would be a little bigger. There were gaping holes around my nose and chin. 😂 Usually with face masks, I use the extended areas for my neck too, so they can really deliver a lifting effect.

Dianne: On closer inspection, I noticed that it had a gauze-like material in between the hydrogel. I think that’s what made it easily conform to the shape of the face~

Maureen: Yeah, it doesn’t slip.

Dianne: Did you like the texture of the masks?

Maureen: I sure do. I mean, I love all hydrogel masks.

Dianne: I thought it would be a lot more jelly-like, and that it would feel slimy because of all the essence in the packet.

Zoe: The essence was super silky.

Romy: These masks have such a smooth feel to them, and the essence was just the right amount so it wasn’t messy to put on.

Zoe: I rubbed the essence from the packet all over my body~~~ It literally softened my skin instantly, and it’s non-sticky omg!

Maureen: It also doesn’t drip.

Romy: Plus it doesn’t tear as easily!

Dianne: Exactly! I was surprised at how durable it was considering I’m hella clumsy.

Zoe: It sure feels more premium than regular hydrogel.

Maureen: I just hope they could use less plastic to make it more eco-friendly. Both pieces were layered between plastic sheets. Makes it easier to take them out tho.

Romy: I think that’s so they stay in shape in the packaging? But I agree, they should try to make it more eco-friendly.

Maureen: How long did you guys keep them on?

Dianne: I put them on for around 15 mins and I really felt the essence soak into my skin. Could’ve gone longer tho, the packet says it lasts around 20 mins.

Romy: Same here. I left them on for 15 minutes and there was still plenty of essence left after taking them off.

Zoe: Oops, for the Agave one, I left it on for like 40mins (by accident).

Romy: Wow, did it completely dry out?

Zoe: Surprisingly not lol. The finishing is the same as when I put the Chamomile one on for 20 mins 😂

Romy: How did your skin feel after applying the Agave version?

Zoe: I felt very soothed haha, and my face looked hydrated and plump but not super dewy like it’s supposed to after wearing a sheet mask.

Dianne: Yeah, I agree. With some masks, the essence feels super sticky afterwards and doesn’t dry very quickly. I always feel like the essence dissipates into the air instead of soaking into my skin. BUT for this one, the essence was lightweight and actually moisturized my skin!

Romy: It soothed my skin as well! I had a few blemishes that were super red and angry but after applying the Agave mask, my skin felt soothed and my acne looked less inflamed.

Maureen: I also like how it soothed my skin, especially after a day in the sun. My masks were half-flattened by the time I took them off, so all the moisture went into my skin!

Zoe: I love how with hydrogel masks, they actually shrink after use haha. I also really love the smell and color! Not sure what the scent is actually… reminds me of certain air fresheners in oceany scents XD

Dianne: Oh really? I honestly didn’t think it had a certain fragrance! 😆 I’m not very sensitive to scents and couldn’t really pinpoint what it was~

Maureen: I can’t remember the smell tbh, but is it just me, or do both masks have a minty feel?

Romy: Yeah, I can’t remember the smell either, but I remember they were both pleasant scents XD The Agave one left a slight cooling sensation while I was wearing it, but it felt really nice and not tingly!

Zoe: I find the Agave gave more of a tingling feel when I first tried it, whereas for Chamomile, it was more of a gentle coolness throughout (relieved)

Dianne: The Chamomile defos felt gentler on skin. I didn’t notice my complexion looking much brighter, but it did even out the areas where I got a bit sunburnt.

Romy: I was in total zen mode when I had the Chamomile mask on. It felt soothing and left my skin looking plumper, but it also didn’t leave my skin tone looking brighter.

Maureen: The brightening effect of the chamomile was more obvious when I tried the eye masks – they helped brighten my dark circles.

Romy: Perhaps you need to use it long term to really see the brightening effects?

Zoe: Hmm, brightening effect is always so hard to judge. But it sure made my skin glow nicely! Based on the finishing, I feel the masks are more suited to use before putting on makeup.

Romy: They definitely make it easier for you to apply your makeup, but I prefer using it in my nighttime routine.

Dianne: Yeah, I only ever wear sheet masks for my nighttime routine or when I wear particularly heavy makeup.

Zoe: I actually still need to apply a sleeping pack afterwards for my nighttime routine. I love the finishing, but it’s just not quite nourishing enough for my dry skin.

Dianne: Team Agave or Team Chamomile?

Maureen: It’d be Agave for me just coz of the strange blue color XD

Dianne: Same here! Maybe it’s because of the weather, but I love how cooling it is after a long day of boiling under the sun!

Romy: Me too! I love how the Agave one cools my skin, so Agave wins for me! The cute bluish/purplish color is also another reason why I prefer it 💙

Dianne: Totally~ its color is so Insta-worthy!

Zoe: Despite the amazing color of the Agave one, I prefer Chamomile. Chamomile is like a holy grail for sensitive skin 😍 I have to say the slight tingling from the Agave put me off a teeny bit.

What Is Milia & How Do I Get Rid Of It?

If you have tiny white bumps around your eye and cheek area, chances are you have milia. Milia are keratin cysts that get trapped under the surface of skin and should *never* be popped at home. One way to effectively prevent and treat milia is by introducing a retinol into your skincare routine. Watch the video above to find out how.

Top 5 Tools Every Freelancer Needs to Stay Organized & Productive

The so-called gig economy is on the rise with more and more people leaving the 9-to-5 ordeal and joining the freelance wagon. After all, the prospect is incredibly appealing for anyone who doesn’t want to be stuck behind a desk 9 to 10 hours a day!

You get a flexible schedule and the chance to work from a comfortable location wearing comfy attire (yes, some freelancers do work in their pajamas!). However, there is a dark side of the coin, and that consists in being organized.

As freelancers, it’s our job to cover the boring aspects of business as well. We need to keep track of project management, work on finding new customers, and deal with financial and accountancy (among others).

Luckily, technology provides the answer for this too! There are countless apps, platforms, resources, and more available online and designed to give you leverage over the boring aspects of being a businessman/businesswoman.

Today, I’ll focus on the ones that help increase productivity and organization, but I also encourage you to look for similar tools that will make life better in other sections of life.

#1: Project Management

When you work on one or two projects, it’s rather easy to keep track of your tasks and deadlines.
However, as the list of customers increases, you will need a project management tool to help you keep track of each milestone. Sure, you can start by working with regular calendars (even Google Calendar can be useful) and make lists on paper, but as your business gets bigger, you’ll understand just how time-consuming and motivational taxing this activity can be.

That’s when you’ll turn to platforms designed to reduce the effort invested in keeping track of your work schedule, such as Asana, Trello, or Bonsai. Some of these tools are free or offer a free version, which can be enough for small businesses.

#2: Tools for Learning & Growing

If you are a freelancer for a while, you know you can’t stay still when it comes to learning and growing. Regardless of your domain, it’s never a good idea to forget about new information and technologies that could change everything from one day to another.

So, find the best e-learning platform that can provide resources, access to teachers and people trained in our field. Also, you have the wonderful opportunity of following people you admire online! Find bloggers that talk about your domain, authors, and more by browsing social media and consuming relevant written and video media as you can (a platform such as Feedly may be helpful in this case).

#3: Accountancy, Bookkeeping & Finances

This is an anxiety-inducing area for many freelancers and business owners. However, if you manage to keep your documents and financial flow well-organized, things should be easier.

Platforms such as Freshbooks, Xero, or Bench will help you stay organized and even identify inefficiencies in your cashflow. Furthermore, you’ll have a clear picture of productivity from a financial point of view.

#4: Team Management

Even if you’re running a one-man-show, you still need to communicate with customers and their teams. So, it’s a good idea to work with an app that’s used globally such as Slack or Skype. These let you organize customers and teams, to keep conversations by project and avoid losing track of information.

#5: Organization & Productivity

Finally, tools like Dropbox, Google Docs, Toggl (time tracking app), Harvest, MailChimp, and more are designed to work for you. They come with lots of cool features that help you stay organized, work in collaborative projects, and transform all that hard work into payment.

Of course, I only mentioned the top apps that cater to freelancers and entrepreneurs, but if you need something more specific and tailored to your needs, feel free to dig deeper. The market for apps designed to help you stay productive and organized is quite rich, and there are plenty of amazing offers out there.
